About the Robinson book: any data on which is better for the environment, an E book that requires power to read, vs production and transportation of a paper copy?
I don't know the definitive answer, but I would get the e-book, especially if it's one like the Kindle using e-ink, because the battery life on a Kindle reader is measured in weeks, not days/hours.
