I myself am willing to substantially support (through a TaxTheRich.org PAC (in formation) totally supportive of Independents, not Dems nor GOPers) projects that include NVDA tactics, and are focused on rapidly organizing and mobilizing former Trump Voters by their peers, in the four districts where the GOP Rep won by 1.26% or less:

Colorado 8th Republican (flip) 0.73%
Pennsylvania 7th Republican (flip) 1.01%
Pennsylvania 10th Republican 1.26%

Also, thanks for the unpleasant but needed reminder that it’s not only elected feckless, corporate Dems we have to deal with, but also Hillary-loving, Hogg-hating Blue MAGA. And we can’t break up with them, right? We need them, as well as some of the Trump voters they insist are all racist, sexist cretins and not worth the time of day, if we are to regain a governing majority.
I just recently got trained at an IATSE office in how to be a marshal at May Day and street demonstrations in general. The central role of marshals, I learned, is to defuse, defuse, defuse, between MAGA provocateurs and our side, and between the police and us. The trainer, Jaimie, who’s from Rise and Resist, I think, was extraordinary. Their emotional intelligence is off the charts, they’ve thought out every possible eventuality, and still promised that the best laid plans invariably go awry and you’ll have to use your judgement. I’m nearly certain Jaimie, as well as BC Craig and Alexis Danzig, also do civil disobedience training. And have done so since ACT-UP. I’ll get their specifics and come back in the comments.

What a great post to read this morning when we woke up to minority, white candidates defeating Black and Latina candidates for school board in New Rochelle. Similar to the source of the attacks on Feiner, the attacks on these candidates were that they are anti - Semites and about the “anti Zionist Socialists” taking over the school board while at the same time these attacks encouraged Jewish voters to win with “turnout” over majority Black and Hispanic voters. Thank you Ms. Feiner for your inspiring courage and for your analysis of the aftermath and the sources of attacks on our democracy.
My group, ResistTrump Campaign, will be launching a webinar series, “How to Become a Leader in the Trump Resistance,” on June 12th, which is one week after the Rise4Freedom series will conclude. It will explore developing one’s leadership skills within a nonviolent civil resistance framework.
Hi Micah! I was forwarded your column by an activist friend who was trained by me to marshal at protests under the first amendment. Along with a couple of activist pals from back in the early days of AIDS activism, as a team, we offer free trainings to grassroots groups and nonprofits in nonviolent direct action. We offer our trainings for free as a community service because direct action is a vital part of keeping democracy alive.
Along with a few ACT UP veteran pals, in 2016 I helped found Rise and Resist in the aftermath of the first Trump election. We've probably trained thousands of people for free at this point and are looking to train more people -- to run nonviolent protests, help de-escalate problems, and to consider engaging in principled nonviolent civil disobedience.

I ran campaigns for many years at all levels, and let me tell you the conversation around "diminishing returns" is needed. The data around things like text messages and direct mail is so clear, but sometimes the folks getting a percentage of the buy are the most convincing people in the room.
Call me a cynic, because this past 10 years has killed my optimism, but what if musk made this announcement not because he was wanting to step back but that he’s no longer necessary. The Republicans and the legislature are behaving as if they don’t need to worry about their constituents votes. The people behind all of this Miller, Vought, the Heritage foundation, are not going to walk away so easily. What if musk just realizes he won’t be needed because elections will be a sham.
Concerning the Big, Beautiful, Budget, there is a hidden but deadly item: the Republicans have slipped in a provision that would allow Trump to ignore every TRO or injunction that has already been issued against the administration!
PLEASE POST THIS FAR AND WIDE. IF THE CONGRESS GIVES TRUMP LEGAL PERMISSION TO IGNORE THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM WE ARE IN BIGGER TROUBLE THAN WE KNOW.
